Visitation: Visiting
hours are subject to change or cancellation without prior notice. Please realize that we have several inmates with family members that
all want to visit. Visitation is limited to one, fifteen-minute visit. Do
not attempt return visits. Inmates may have visits from family and friends each Saturday while
incarcerated, except when an inmate is restricted. Failure to follow the
rules concerning visitation will result in the visit being canceled and/or
future visitation privileges denied. No cell phones are to be brought into
the Detention Center. It is the responsibility of the
inmate to abide by the rules and to inform their visitors of these rules.
All
persons entering the facility are subject to a search of their persons and
property. Any person found violating any law may be arrested and
prosecuted. The Jail Administrator, her designee, or Deputy may cancel any visit or
delete from the visitation list any visitor who violates a jail rule or
anyone who, in jail personnel judgment, poses a threat to the security of
the jail, personnel or inmates. Any and all visitor(s) may be
requested to show a valid photo identification, such as an Arkansas
drivers licenses. Record checks may be made if it is considered
necessary for the security of the inmates, employees, visitors, or the
facility. Children under the age of 18 will be
permitted to visit only if an adult accompanies them. No unattended
children will be allowed in the waiting area. Disruptive, ill-mannered or
misbehaving children will not be tolerated. The accompanying adult is
responsible for the behavior of the children. While conducting visitation
no smoking, eating or drinking is allowed inside the facility. Notice: All visitors must adhere to the following dress

Anyone visiting an inmate shall not give or receive any items from an
inmate (including cell phones) without prior authorization from the Jail Administrator, her
designee, or the Sheriff. Anyone bringing items of this sort into the
jail, which are considered contraband, shall be prosecuted under Arkansas
Statute 5-54-119. Furnishing prohibited articles which states:
Attorneys:
No Attorneys are allowed into the Franklin County
Detention Center unless they come Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00A.M.
and 4:00P.M.
No visits after 4:00P.M. will be authorized except upon
special arrangement with the Sheriff and/or Jail Administrator.
Identification may be requested in the form of an Arkansas Bar card and
driver’s license, or official picture identification. Any person posing
as an attorney in order to gain access to an inmate will be prosecuted.
Attorneys will not give articles of any sort, including cell phones, to the inmate without prior
approval with the exception of legal material, which may be checked for
contraband, but not read.
Clergy:
Clergy are encouraged to visit inmates and detainees,
and are also encouraged to make prior arrangements for security reasons. For clergy, a
business card and driver’s license or official credentials with a picture identification
will be requested. Clergy will not give articles of any sort, including
cell phones, to inmates
without prior approval, which may be checked for contraband.
Bail
Agencies:
All
Bail Agency Personnel must report to the Franklin County Dispatch Office
before entering the Jail.
