Bail ~ Fines Bail, Fines, and Tickets can be paid at any time at the dispatch window of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. Franklin County Sheriff's Department personnel are prohibited from naming or referring any bonding agency. We accept two (2) forms of bail: cash and professional bail bonds. To use a bail bond, contact a bail agency. Bail Bond Agencies are normally required by law to collect 10% of the Bail set as a Premium. To use cash, you must bring the full amount of bail for each charge. You can call the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department to find out the amount of each charge. If you are using a check, please call the Sheriff’s Office to see who to make the check payable to (City, County, State, or other). For information on Tickets and Fines, please contact the Sheriff’s office for amounts and payment.
Cash - Exact amount Cashier's check - Contact the sheriff’s Dept for whom to make the check payable to. Certified check - Contact the sheriff’s Dept for whom to make the check payable to. Personal check - Local Checks Only between the hours of 8:00AM & 3:00PM for verification of sufficient funds. Travelers check - Contact the sheriff’s Dept for whom to make the check payable to. Money order - Contact the sheriff’s Dept for whom to make the check payable to. Com Check - Must be verified before it is accepted. Depending on the circumstances, it could take sometime to process an inmate, and have the bail set. Please be patient and remain calm. We will do our best to help you.
